I loved loved loved the intro class it was definitely the workout I was looking for and it was so much fun I took it with a friend and now we are both hooked I went home after the first class and bought unlimited sessions this class is definitely my new obsession :)

I cannot begin to express all the ways in which taking dance lessons and exercise instructions from Sarabeth has impacted my life. She is truly doing what she is meant to do and fulfulling her destiny... teaching dance! Not many people are able to say they are doing what they truly love! When Sarabeth is teaching you her eyes and her entire face light up with excitement as she claps and very enthusiastically gives you words of encouragement. She is just so proud of you and it does not matter what level you are... which she always keeps in mind by making sure that you are comfortable with what she is teaching you. This has really inspired me to stick with her classes and work harder than I ever have. I have been taking classes from Sarabeth for the last five months and have felt guilty because I am just now sitting down to write a testimonial which I should have done months ago, but now I am glad that I waited because in the last few months I have progressed and improved so much. My second life is just beginning and now that I have had several more months of lessons, I realize how instrumental Sarabeth and her classes have been in helping me to move forward in all aspects of my life and it is wonderful. I have Sarabeth to thank for getting my mind, body, and spirit strong and healthy again and more importantly, she got me in touch with the free-spirited child that loves to play that had been buried so deep inside of myself to come back out to while at the same time at the age of 48, I have also become in touch with my womanhood and sensuality for the first time in my life. I feel as if I have the heart of a child combined with my strength and power as a woman. It is a wonderful combination that has totally transformed me! I find that no matter what I am doing or who I am speaking to, I feel so confident and and my posture is great and I feel so amazing and for the first time in years I feel alive again. I am finding that almost everyone I meet responds to me so positively and totally differently then they did before. By mixing dance moves and strength moves with my favorite music, I have also lost about 40 pounds since I started taking lessons with Sarabeth!!! I find myself dancing and exercising no matter what I am doing and when I start dancing I suddenly realize that two or three hours have flown by. Sarabeth, thank you for reintroducing me to the world at my own pace, especially during the times when it was painfully slow and for doing it in such a delightful and magical way!

Ok so took the intro class and loved everything about it. Sara is a great teacher and very motivating. I had so much fun and within the first 5 min Sara already had me sweating. Now I am a big girl and she is not kidding when she said it is for every size and shape. I think this was a great workout and my body was sore too. Thanks Sara keep up the great work.

The first time I walked into this class I was so impressed! The atmosphere was so relaxed and I felt comfortable right away. I'm usually very self-conscience, but Sara made me feel very confident simply by her teaching style. As soon as I tried my first spin on the pole I was hooked! Right away, I felt what a great workout it was and just how badly out of shape I was! I was shocked to realize that I had VERY little strength in my legs, but Sara has been very patient and very encouraging, and after some practice I definitely see an improvement in my strength, although I still have some more work to do. This class does not feel like exercise because you're having a GREAT time while you're doing it. I feel my confidence has improved and I tell all my friends about it. I'm definitely hooked and look forward to every class!

First, I wanted to say thank you so much for the incredible lap dance workshop! I enjoyed every second of it and now I am recommending it to my friends and coworkers. When you first showed the routine, it looked complicated but you broke it down for us which made it easy to follow and learn. Yes, my knees are hurting a bit and are bruised but it’s sure isn’t a price for what I have learned in class. I practiced the routine the rest of Saturday and then all day Sunday while my husband was at work and I did try to make the routine my own by adding my own style and moving in a way I felt sexy. By late Sunday afternoon I was in a romantic mood and felt ready to perform it for my husband. By the time he got home from work, I closed the curtains on the windows (although it was still early and hot out), lit up tea light scented candles, and turned on some slow music. I chose Titiyo’s ’Come Along’ for my performance because it is one of my favorite songs and it is longer in duration because after practicing the routine for so many times I realized that I wanted to make it slower and incorporated more moves like the clock for example. I think what made my performance a success (although I seriously doubt any man would say no to their own temptress) was the fact that I felt comfortable with the routine, I knew the moves and didn’t have to think about what I was doing. While performing, my thoughts were really far from the routine and I think he could see it both in my body language and in my eyes and I did keep the eye contact at all times because seeing his reaction was very inspiring and encouraging.

What can I say: my classes with Sara have been amazing! My husband has been deployed to Iraq for five long months. I really wanted to find something to pass the time. I have always wanted to try exotic dancing and this was my chance! I have done the lap dance workshop and now pole dancing. Although I have just started, I am totally hooked! Taking care of my three year old son during day and working a graveyard shift didn’t leave me with much time to workout. Before being forced into going back to work (due personal reasons) I was able to workout with my son in the morning with a group of moms and their kids and able to play in a co-ed softball team in the evenings. I do not care for traditional gym workouts and I am always intrigued by alternative ways to working out that reflect who I am as an individual.
A couple months ago a friend of mine sent me a video clip from the United States Pole Dance Federation (USPDF) and I was on the edge of my seat in awe with these women’s blend of creativity meets physical strength. I knew that no matter what it took I had to find a class to attend. I clicked on the links on the USPDF sites for affiliated studios and found only one place in San Diego listed, Sexy Silhouettes by Sara. Took me less than five minutes to find a class and book it.
My introduction class taught by Sara was absolutely amazing!! I could not believe how quick the hour went by and after it was over I was craving more. I have experience a wide variety of different workouts and exercise routines but this has far surpassed them all. My muscles were sore, my legs were bruised and I couldn’t have been happier! This class this is exactly what I have been looking for and it reflects me because it is unique and fun.
Through this dance’s athletic, sensual and rebellious nature, I am finding myself prancing over boundaries I never thought I would have the emotional or physical strength to push. I live for these classes. This is MY time during the week to focus on myself, my body, and to be creative. I have a high-powered, demanding job and responsibilities at home. These classes give me a hiatus from the stress and the rejuvenation to get through the intensity of another day.
The Instructor, Sara, is a phenomenal person. She is an excellent and patient teacher and meets the students at their level and pushes them to do the best they can. In a way it’s like she is lovingly and quietly handing you back your self-esteem. I never expected that thru a ’pole dancing’ class, I would venture into a journey of self-discovery and love. I have increased my strength and flexibility dramatically in a very short amount of time. My posture is better and I feel more confident and beautiful.

I started with Sarabeth almost a month ago, my friend and I tried out her intro class and right away I fell in love. Watching Sarabeth made me realize that pole dancing really is dancing and like any other dance, its artistic and beautiful. Seeing her tricks during that intro class made me want to get better so I can look half as good as she did. Once I learned my first routine and I landed my first spin that day, I was hooked. The first thing I did after class was sign up for the unlimited sessions package and reserved my spot in every upcoming class. Since that day, I have come faithfully three times a week, every week, to the level one class and I am thrilled to be moving up to level two. With each session I could feel myself improving and my self-confidence growing. Because classes are kept small, I was able to get a lot of one on one attention and Sarabeth really helped correct my form and technique without making me feel like I was terrible. The environment of the studio is also something I enjoyed. Sarabeth kept the atmosphere postive and comfortable. She complimented me often and made me feel really good about myself and my dancing. I never felt embarrassed trying to be sexy, I actually just felt sexy. I started off in class very shy and reserved and now I'm not nervous to try anything and I dont care who watches. With Sarabeth's guidance and help, I feel like a master of my level. Each session was not only fun, but it was also quite a workout, I left each class feeling as though I had worked every muscle in my body while also getting in a great cardio workout. After a few sessions, I noticed a vast improvement in my flexibility, and strength, especially in my arms. During my first few classes, I wasn't able to hold my own body weight with my arms for more than a split second, then literally by the next class, I was pulling myself off my feet and holding myself up using only my arms. Now I'm able to do that for a few minutes which is AMAZING for me. I didnt really believe that I would ever be able to become as advanced as other girls, but within this month I have come so far that I now have faith that I can and I believe the same of anyone who puts in the dedication. If you put in the effort and you come to classes, you can do it, its that simple. I just want to say thank you so much Sarabeth and I look forward to continue on in my training and I cant wait to complete my transition from flirty girl to temptress.

Pole dancing is definitely fulfilling my dream by changing my mind, body and the way my partner looks at me. I dedicated one month to learning and practicing the Level I choreography to finally achieve my goal of passing and moving onto Level II. In the beginning, it was kind of hard to move both sexy and with class in front of the mirror, but my goal was to lose the tension in my body. It was like discovering my weakness to improve my strengths so I saw it as a challenge. I decided to invite my husband for my graduation-evaluation and as soon as he came in the room and saw the pole he was already surprised. The music started and I began my routine and I felt so secure that even I surprised myself. The more I danced, the more secure I felt just by looking at the way my husband was watching me from head to toe and it made me feel so excited. Therefore, I knew it was worth the effort and time. As soon as I was done with my choreography, I was expecting my husband to say "congrats" or "nice job" but instead the very first words that came from his lips were "YOU TURN ME ON! I did not know you could dance like that!" I felt AMAZING! Now I am ready for Level II and my husband is ready to buy me a pole for home! ;-)

I started attending class about 2 months ago and before that I'm embarrassed to say I didn't really do much of anything for exercise, so I was very happy when I saw how fun the class was but more than anything, what a great workout it was. Due to my lack of strength, there were a couple parts of the routine that I had a stressful time with, but this just motivated me more and I became obsessed with doing whatever I could on a daily basis to increase my strength. After a few weeks, I was able to notice an improvement, but I was still definitely not at the level I wanted or needed to be. When I decided to try moving on to the next level, I asked my sister to come be my audience since she's never been to a class with me. I was very nervous about the moves I knew tested my strength, and I was super proud of myself when I completed my routine and had been able to do all the moves with ease. My sister was really impressed and she's going to start attending class with me soon. I'm excited to keep pushing my own limits and seeing the results of my hard work. Wow! Wow! Wow! is all I can say about Ms. Sara. Although I'm not new to pole dancing, I took a couple of years off and was truly out of shape. With Sara's moves in just a couple of weeks, it wiped me back into shape and learning Level 1 was exciting and fun. I can't give you an example on how pole dancing compares to other workout regiments because Sexy Silhouettes is so unique and special on its own. I got into to pole dancing because I wanted a change in my boring and tedious gym routine. I was excited to finally find a workout that is fun, involves strength training, confidence building and meeting others who appreciate Sara's commitment to empower and inspire you. I feel stronger and leaner and am toning muscles that I wasn't able to while going to the gym. I am truly committed to my new full body workout routine.
